One of the founding departments of Shri Devi Polytechnic, the Mechanical Engineering Department played a leading role in evolving an ‘Engineering Science’ based curriculum, and served as a role model for many academic institutes in the country. Over the years, interaction with industry and the emphasis on applied engineering has increased.
The strength of the department lies in its highly qualified and expert faculty besides its excellent non-teaching staff. To complement this is the presence of the diligent students who epitomize enthusiasm and devotion. Thus, it has been a firm resolves to keep up with the modern day trends and in the process produce erudite and conscientious engineers
